Auto.?
Should be a dipstick at the passenger side rear of engine. Park on level ground
Run engine to normal operating temperature
Shift through gears (P-R-P-N-P-D-P-2-P-1)
Pull dispstick and wipe clean
Re-insert dipstick and remove to check level of fluid
DO NOT OVERFILL
there is RED CAP on the fill hole it will say TRANS FLUID there is a bolt on passenger side you will remove then check while running to see if fluid runs out. pain to do ..
The first thing to check is that your transmission fluid level is correct. If it is too low the trans cannot pressurize. DO NOT Overfill.
I have a 2000 Malibu and it does not have a tranny dipstick. You have to check fluid under car, there is a check hole on the trans. It's a pain in the butt.
You fill the trans fluid thru the dipstick you check the level at.
need to know if it is and automatic or a standard shift transmission Automatic has no dipstick to check trans fluid.
Fill it at the same place you check the fluid level.
You add fluid the same place you check the fluid level.
The exact same place you check the fluid level.
transmission has worn/bad seals.should have a trans shop check it. Most don't charge to check.
There is no dipstick for the trans.
trans fluid goes right in tube used to check fluid level
Idling in park, pull the trans dipstick and check the level.
