The first thing when you start to clean carburetor is, you need to soak it in solvent to get it cleaned. The more stronger the solvent is, the better cleaned can be your carburetor. You can get these cleaners at the automobile supply stores. Make sure you have a pair of hand gloves since the cleaners are very strong, so avoid touching with bare hands.
next, once you have finished soaking the carburetor, you can then remove it from the solvent and wipe it off. Don't forget to wear your gloves while doing it. While cleaning, you should make very sure that it is wiped properly since a little solvent lft can damage your bare hands later. The final step of the cleaning process is to use an air compressor to blow through the interior of the carburetor. This blows the inside dirt free after the solvent has loosened it.
