Open the bolt. hold it with the barrel down, I do this over the kitchen sink. Spray the barrel and action down with WD-40. Pull patches down the barrel. Repeat until clean!!!! then stand it in a corner, barrel down, to drain for several days. Oil it up and stand it in the corner barrel down again for several days. This prevents sludge draining into the bolt area. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE!!!!! If you disassembled it, email me your phone number, because it only goes back together one way to be safely shot. I just rebuilt one for my grandchild, it is a great gun to start on.
