you need to have it flushed
The radiator can be flushed with water running continuously. This will flush out any loose particles. The only way to completely clean the radiator is to have is professionally cleaned in a chemical bath.
you need to have it flushed
You fill an automotive radiator with a mix of 50% anti freeze and 50% clean water.
yes its called your bum hole
There are products readily available designed specifically for cleaning cooling systems. I would not recommend using a product like Oxyclean in the radiator.
Drain off the radiator coolant into a clean drain pan. Loosen radiator hose clamps. Remove radiator hose. Install in reverse order.
in a bath of costic soda
i used to work in a radiator shop back in the day and we put a radiator on a rotating machine and put muric acid in it and let it rotate for some time, then flushed it out and the radiator was totally clean, no more rodding. they were copper then. not sure about todays alum radiators
Rust and sediment can accumulate in the cooling system. Flushing the radiator helps keep the cooling system clean.
To clean radiator corrosion, first make sure the radiator is cool. Remove the cap, and place a bucket under the radiator to catch the water. Open the drain cock on the bottom of the radiator. When empty, close the drain cock and pour a coolant flush into the radiator. Top it off with water. Replace radiator cap and run the engine for 10-minutes, with the heater going full blast. Turn the engine off and wait until the engine has cooled off. Drain radiator once more. Then, fill the radiator with a 50/50 mixture of engine coolant and water.
yes just dont try to clean out the calcium buildup with radiator flush (sulfuric acid)
