Just had this done today on my Passport. Remove the Moonroof and you will see 4 holes. 2 in the front on each side and 2 in the back on each side. Blow out the holes with an air hose (you will need a fitting on the end that will fit into the holes) then blow out each hole. When you finish, you can check to see if they are draining properly (keep Moonroof off when checking) very carefully pour water around each hole until you hear the suction. This should work.
clean the fan
Clean the throttle position sensor and throttle plate, then use electrical contact cleaner to clean the air flow sensor at the air filter.

I've got a '99 Honda Passport and I get about 16 miles/gallon..... Usually a tank of gas will last me around 300 miles . . . depends on many factors though..... make sure your tires are at the right psi, your fuel filter is clean/changed and make sure you get your transmission checked/flushed as often as the owner's manual recommends!!
== == First off Your Honda is really an Isuzu Rodeo, but you already knew that. These have the GM electronic egr. if you have the 3.2 motor. The only way to fix it is to replace the egr valve.
