How do you clear up plastic headlight lenses that have condensation on the inside?

I've only had this problem once. It was so bad that the condensation had "run" sown the lens and there was about a half inch of water trapped at the low point inside the lamp assembly. My solution to the problem was not quick, but it worked for me.
I rigged an extension cord to the front of my vehicle, hooked up a hairdryer, and removed the lamp-holder [bulb socket] from the back of the assembly. I also ran the air hose [with a blowgun attached] from my compressor to the work area.
I then used the hair dryer to warm the plastic, AND the entire backside of the assembly. Be careful not to overheat any of the plastic. I "tested" this by feeling with my hand and not allowing the plastic to get too hot to hold my hand on it.
After the headlight assembly was well warmed up, I used my air compressor hose with the blowgun nozzle to circulate lots of air into and therefore through and out of the assembly.
The warming accelerated the evaporation of the condensate and the rapid air exchange "flushed" the humid air from the evaporating condensate from the assembly.
It has been several years, but my recollection is that it took about an hour and a half to two hours from start of gathering the equipment to tools being put away.
THEN, to prevent that happening again, I used a hand drill to put a small [about 1/8th inch] hole at the very lowest point in the bottom of the assembly. I did this on the backside, inside the engine compartment, not in the lens which would allow more rain and road-film to blow in.

You'll need to clamp it or hold it together for some time to insure proper seal.

It depends on where the fogging is. If it is on the inside your are out of luck. If it is on the outside you may be able to purchase some plastic polish and correct the issue. Your best bet is to replace the headlight housings. According to two guys garage you can use toothpaste to clear the lenses, however don't recomend doing this unless you are sure of what toothpaste to use which I will write later.
