Like any other car, open the brake fluid cylinder and use a c-clamp or brake caliper tool to push it back.
The rear pads are exactly the same as the front pads, with one exception:
There is a small, brass 10mm bolt behind the piston. It comes off very easily, and simply protects a small, 4mm Allen bolt. Loosen the Allen bolt and it will allow you to retract the piston.
Once your new pads are in place, you can lightly tighetn the Allen bolt back in and replace the brass protector bolt.
Will a 1992 mazda miata hardtop fit a 2000 mazda miata?
Isnt one, its hydraulic, and its next to the brake fluid resevior
Yes there is a hydraulic clutch on the miata. Just to the outside of the firewall, near the brake master cylinder is the clutch master cylinder and resevoir.
yes, the Mazda miata is rear wheel drive
Under the dash, just above the brake and clutch pedals to the left.
I would suggest the Mazda Miata dealership site which is www.mmmiata.com, another site to try for Mazda Miata parts is www.autopartsdeal.com/Mazda/Miata/parts.html. For used parts you can try www.autoguide.net
There is no fan belt on a Mazda Miata.
A 1999 Mazda Miata requires 4.0 quarts of oil.
Same as you would for any 1999-2005. See related links below.
Open the trunk.Look up behind the 3rd brake light, you'll see a small bulb harness in the middle.Lightly twist it counter-clockwise, and the harness will come out.Pull out the old bulb.Insert new bulb. These steps are good for all Mazda Miata years 1990-2005.
If it looks like a smaller version of the brake cylinder container it is the hydraulic clutch reservoir ( assuming you have a manual ) and you will fill it with brake fluid.
You can rent a mazda miata from Zilok ( US.Zilok.com )
