In order to purchase Mazda Miata parts there are many sources if you look hard enough. You can go to eBay or Amazon. Also there is a website dedicated to buying Miata parts called gomiata.
That would depend on the year and how you drive your Miata. In my 1990, I drive it hard, and get about 26 miles per gallon city and about 37 on the highway driving at a constant speed.
The Mazda MX5 hardtop is one of the Mazda Miata models. It is a sporty car that comes with both a hard or soft top convertible option. You can purchase either model at your local Mazda dealer. The Mazda website has a zip code feature that allows you to search for the closest Mazda dealer.
In 2013 Mazda lists four SUV or Crossover vehicles. They are the CX-5, MAZDA5 and the CX-9. Mazda also has three sports cars in 2013. The sports cars are the MAZDASPEED3,the MX-5 MIATA Soft Top, and the MX-5 MIATA Hard Top. The other 2013 Mazda cars are the MAZDA3 4-door, the MAZDA2, the MAZDA3 5-door and last but not least the MAZDA6 Sports Sedan.
Shop manual says to remove the package tray (under the carpet behind the seats) and then the fuel pump cover. Lots of fiddly carpet tacks and small bolts, but not hard to do.
It is not difficult to replace at all on either models. The Crank Angle Sensor on a Mazda Miata differs for the varying years: On 99-05 Miatas, it is located to the right of the Crank Pulley at the bottom of the engine. It can be reached by removing the splash pan under the car. On 90-97 models, it is on the back of the valve cover on the driver's side (assuming Left-hand drive models). When replacing it, you must also purchase a new Crank Angle Seal (just a round rubber grommet).

Look right below the intake manifold. It should be hiding right below it. It is hard to get to, but it can be done. Get a special tool that fits on the Miatas oil filter and uses a ratchet to turn it. Its basicly like a big socket....just made to fit an oil filter. This makes the job much much easyier. Greddy makes a oil filter relocation kit for the Miata, I hear they make it much easyier...but I still do mine the old way.
