there is one wire with a round connector, it goes on the lug, the other connectors are unique wire connectors and can only go one place, just match them up.

the solenoid is on the starter. It's the part the wires go into.

Did you just put a starter on it ??? Sounds like the starter wires are on the starter wrong are thay are shorted out. CHECK THE WIRES GOING TO THE STARTER CLOSELY.
The Starter on a 1995 Mustang THe starter is located at the bottom of the engine near just off the flywheel. Disconnect the battery, then the wires going to the starter, unbolt the old starter, bolt in the new starter, attach the wires, connect the battery and you're done.
There's two wires to connect... just put them where they belong. Positive to the solenoid, negative to the starter body.
about 2 wires with fusible links in them running from divers firewall to passenger side starter behind engine block.
Remove the lighter gauge wires from the solenoid, and connect full battery power (cable) directly to to the positive post on the starter motor.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the wires from the starter then unbolt it. Lower the starter, then fit the new one in. Bolt up the starter and connect the wiring. Reconnect the battery.
Look on the drivers side under the dash on the left hand side and you will see three wires two are connected just switch two of the wires and the light will go off.
The wires to the starter are probably connected wrong.
