Well, if you have a wireless adapter, then you should just plug it into the internet cord slot with the adapter on and all, then go to network settings, and if it is plugged in and it is a wireless adapter, your xbox will reconize it as one, and you can look for networks and set up networks, etc.
PS I do not use an official xbox adapter and it works fine, but the official one is very simple and works perfectly, so if it still doesnt work, then the official one is something to look into! See you on XBL!
