no it is caused by earthquakes
Tidal waves are caused by cyclones. Cyclones are high waves accompanied with heavy rain, and they lead to floods. So cyclones cause tidal waves, that is where they come from.
Tsunamis or tidal waves.
Most surface waves are caused by wind. Tsunamis are formed by heat and circular wind motions. Tidal waves are caused by hurricanes with huge wind currents.
huge tidal waves caused by the eruption
Tidal waves originate deep within the ocean and end once they reach the coast. They are typically caused by large earthquakes which send shock waves outward from the epicenter.
some advantages of tidal energy are, continuous, predictable energy. Another benefit of tidal power is that it is predictable. The gravitational forces of celestial bodies are not going to stop anytime soon.
The term "tidal wave" is a misnomer because tsunamis have nothing to do with the tides; they are usually caused by earthquakes.
It's caused by the moons gravitational pull
Tsunami's are different in the sense that they are caused by MASSIVE underwater movement in the earth's crust. After the shift, a whirlpool with the strength of hundreds of tons is formed and is pushed upwards towards the surface into the form of a tsunami. A Tidal wave is caused by overlaping sea waves that bundle up over time from an event similar to an earthquake (but not an earthquake), and form into a monstrosity that can tip boats and even ships.
Tidal waves are unpredictable. There is no way at present to capture their energy. We can capture the energy of tides and also of waves, but not of tidal waves.
There are no obvious advantages of tidal waves. The damage they do outweighs anything else.
