When/If you become upset about something walk away and think about things and don't go back until you have calmed down and be open minded and think about things from your side and his. Overreacting is a form of jealousy, loss of control when you want to be in control and petty anger. Trying to control your anger is another way to deal with this. If you find you are having problems with this you can seek counselling or go to an anger management course they are helpful. Also, think of the time you are wasting arguing over something petty when you can be happy - it really isn't worth it as well as your behaviour can lead you to losing boyfriends.
