The 1997 Chevy Lumina 3.1 liter low pressure air conditioning cycling switch can be found on the air conditioning compressor. The switch will be on the top of the compressor.
On my retrofitted to R134-A the fill valve is underneath the airbox. You have to take it out to get to it.

it should be on the drivers side near the battery. somewhere on that side of you car.
