The engine compartment is designed to accept transverse (sideways) mounted engines not inline engines, there's no transmission and driveshaft tunnel, a custom driveshaft would likely be required, there's no clearance for a rear differential, etc. Converting a front wheel drive vehicle to rear wheel drive would probably cost considerably more than buying a rear wheel drive vehicle.
