If you want to use Adobe to do it, you will need to at least have the rendering engine installed as a printer. Select it as you would your plotter and plot to it. You might want to search for free, open source pdf creators. There are plenty to pick from and you generally get what you pay for.

Portable Document Format, more commonly known as PDF is a file format with 2D illustrations. These illustrations are usually in the form of images, 2D vector graphics, or texts. PDF was developed and introduced in the computer world by Adobe Systems. The images, drawings, vector objects, and texts on a PDF file may be imported into a DWG file or AUTOCAD file. Converting PDF files into DWG files allows users to edit and remove lines or arcs from the vector objects from the original PDF file. The user has to use AutoCAD software for editing the imported drawings and/or from a PDF file. AutoCAD is mainly used in drafting and designing both 2D (2-dimensional) and 3D (3-dimensional images. Autodesk, Inc. is the worldwide developer and distributor of AUTOCAD.
