I think you should just let the topic go. If my parents let me get a tattoo every time I asked, I would regret just about all of them. I'm 18 years old and I'm still waiting to get my first tattoo because it's a major decision, it's going to be on my body forever. I'm glad my parents said no to me and later on you will be too.

If they don't want you to have one you will just have to deal with it until your old enough to get one. They are saying no for a reason not just to be nasty. Why don't you ask what their reasons are first.
