there are several ways to do this without WMP.
1. iTunes will do it automatically when you put a CD into the CD drive currently my favorite way to do this.
2. Winamp will do it as well if you read instructions that come with the program
3. My second favorite way is a program called CDex. which you can find on download.com. they all have instructions with the prgram on how to do this.
Happy ripping!!

You have to find a legal website that allows you to copy and paste songs. When you right click the song make sure it is a music document, not a htm. After you copy it, paste it as a windows media player document. Then when you click on it, it should open as a windows media player. It will only play if it is a music document, NOT htm.
I know this is not very helpful but the only way I know of is to copy the songs onto a disk and then rip them them to Media Player.
You have to download the song first then copy it from your documents into windows music play or just open it from your documents from windows player. Good Luck :)
put in CD and select copy using windows media player and then select copy at top of your screen.
Once you put in the disk to the disk drive it will ask what you want to do and choose open folder to view files. Select all of the songs and drag them to the Window Media Player library. Or download itunes its a little better than windows media player.

A playlist is only a text file with a list of songs. So if you only have the playlist on a CD then you will not be able to play any songs.
There is no legal method for installing Windows Media Player on non-genuine or pirated copies of Windows. Purchasing a legal copy will enable you to install and enjoy Windows Media Player.
Illegal for anyone to upload a pirated copy to you.
The Windows Media Player video has to be an actual file to be imported into Windows Movie Maker (meaning you can't drag and drop it).Although I haven't tried it, I believe you can copy the file from Windows Media Player and paste it into Windows Movie Maker (but I don't know this for sure). The best way to get media from Windows Media Player is to ensure it is Saved in the Library. Then, open the file's location and import it that way.
