You can delete your profile photo by going to Photos > Albums > Profile photos album on your Profile and accessing each individual photo that may be in that album. You may be able to use Options > Delete photo to remove the profile photo(s).

To create a Google Plus account, you need to get an invite. Take note that Google Plus works only with Google accounts that have an active Google profile.So, if you haven't created your profile yet, you won't able to sign up for Google plus. Also, only regular Gmail accounts are supported and you can't use your Google apps account to setup a Google Plus profile. if you ask anyone to send you an invitation to your Google Apps email address, you will never receive it in the first place.

If you are sharing a photo into Google+ and didn't have your phone automatically upload photos into Google Drive, you can go to your Gallery app, pick the photo(s) in question, and on the top right of the photo is a Share icon.
