You need to register them and but them. But if you already have a website and a long domain you could create a free customized domain that will look like : blahblah.co.nt which is so much shorter and easy to remember. In able to do this, register your current domain (my example: yuhu.blogspot.com) to freedomain and put your new customized domain name. This is absolutely free!

∙ 11y agoIf you want a domain, like something.com, you'll need to buy it from a registrar (just Google 'domain registrar' and pick the one that suits you). It would be best if you ask a friend with the know-how first though, as if you want anything to appear at that URL, you'll need a server or need to rent one. If you don't mind part of your URL being somebody else's domain, you could use a service like WordPress, where you would get a free blog at something like example.WordPress.com, with the option to make.it example.com. With a service like that you don't need a server, as WordPress provide it, but you are limited to just a blog.

∙ 11y agoYou need a website before you can create a personal website, once you get a website up and running you need a Domain name (Customized URL) if you want a paid one such as in the related link, then you will have to pay for it. However if you want one that is free, it will look the same as the one in the related link, but it will have as the extention '.tk'
