To change the return filter on a 2003 Chevy Silverado is easy. Simply open the hood of your car and gently remove the filter and replace with new filter. that it!
It's the air intake housing which usually starts near the front of the car and goes back to the top of the engine. The whole unit is the intake, specifically the air filter is held by the air filter housing.
For b18b1 it's next to the oil filter, on the left of the oil filter when sitting in the car
It is low on the car, just in front of (and inboard) the front passenger wheel. It is a filter-element type design, contained in an aluminum housing which hangs down vertically. the can is silver and is hard to miss. You can see it without raising the car.
The oil filter is located under the intake manifold, sideways.. if looking at front of car its on left side just behind the intake... It is on the driver's side. You get to it inside the engine compartment, not from underneath the car.

There is no difference between a small engine filter and a auto filter. Small engine manufactures do no make oil filters. The filters are made by the same companies that make auto filters and they are the same. You can cross reference the filter that fits your lawn tractor to another brand of filter which fits a car. Purolator is an excellent filter to use on a lawn mower. Write down the number on the filter you are using and go to Advance Auto Parts and they will cross reference it for you.
Fram should have a cross reference on their website. Also, FRAM filters are garbage. Stick with a WIX or Purolator.
There is no direct cross reference for this part number. This is a oil filter designed to fit multiple import applications based off of thread size of the screw part of the filter. More or less, this is a universal oil filter. It is a brand called Promotive which is manufactured by Purolator. You only need 8 part numbers to fit nearly 98% of every vehicle on the road. If it were me, I would use a shop that does not use this universal fit oil filter. I would demand an exact fit filter for your car.
