Not advisable, but if you are going to do it anyway you have to make up for the structural integrity of the roof, check a convertible version, you will have to connect the subframes with beams, reinforce the door frames, create some sort of brace to connect the suspension mountings to those reinforcements, then you have to design and build or buy the roof (ragtop or hardtop convertible), only then yu can start curring, an angle grinder will do the job, please remeber to get the top part of the windshield frame form a convertibel to add it to your car, but even if you do it right, it is probable taht it will leak like a sieve. of course all the value of your car will be lost, that kins of modification will ruin the value of your car.

They are plastic actually. I cut them off, and smooth over, and replace. You can always stick a screw driver at the base, and pry off between the knob, and the shifter. Thanks.
