Delete a current session? Close the program without saving.
Unless of course you are trying to close a session that is currently running in the background (as an Error message would suggest)?
If you get a message that says something like: 'Windows Movie Maker is already running. Please close the session before restarting...' then it means the process is currently in use and must be terminated first. To do that is easy:
> Click Ctrl + Alt + Delete at the same time
> Click on Task Manager
> Click on Applications tab (if it isn't already on it)
> Click on Windows Movie Maker icon
> Then click on End Task (on the bottom)

Sometimes Windows Movie maker gives you a message similar to what you are describing. If you can't open Windows Movie Maker on your computer, (especially when that message appears) this is what you do:> Click Ctrl+Alt+Delete> Click on Start Task Manager> Under Applications tab, click on Windows Movie Maker and press End Task> If Windows Movie Maker is not in that list, click on the Processes tab> Click on Show Processes for all users> Scroll down to MOVIEMK.exe and press End ProcessThe program will close.Note:This procedure can be used for any programs you can't close down manually (and those found running behind Windows).
I don't believe you can update Windows Live Movie Maker. However, you can reinstall it. Remove the current Windows Live Movie Maker first (from add/remove programs). Click on the Windows Live Movie Maker link I've posted for you in the Related Links section below for the download.
Use the Split function which is located under the Preview pane.
Right-click on the clip (media file)on the video/audio track in Windows Movie Maker and choose Delete or Cut/Remove.
To uninstall Windows Movie Maker (or any programs):> Click Start> Control Panel> Programs> Programs and FeaturesA list will be generated. Find the program you want to uninstall and click Uninstall.
