How do you delete files from an MP3 player when you can't seem to access them on a computer by just going to the My Computer panel?

well from the My Computer panel go into the actual device(which must be hooked up)
try browsing the files/folder in there for it
some of the newer mp3 players have a reset/format function built in the settings menu
