yes you can delete the system volume info folder but they are very important in waorking of OS(operating system) so i advise you not to delete it
It's not a good idea, if you need the space, change the amount that system restore uses, and the amount that windows uses for temporary internet files and the recycling bin uses first. I would NOT recommend deleting system volume info, it's hidden for a reason.

A virus enters the system either by internet (email, downloads, or giving out info) or by infiltration of your computer (a flash drive, black bag job, writing the computer virus on your computer). Internet viruses are more common, as they are easier to spread.
Hello, there is a free antivirus program you can download called add. It located and removed the Trojan without affecting the infected program. If the virus is in your system volume information folder, you will need to allow your virus scan to access it. Check out theeldergeek.com, under system volume information folder, for info on access, then run your virus scan and allow it to isolate the Trojan horse. Go to Start /Control Panel /Folder Options (click the View tab)and uncheck both the *Hide file extension for known file types & *Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)-boxes, then OK yourself out. Then go to Start /Search /For Files or Folders option type up the NAME OF THE FILE & EXT (not downloader.wintrim.Q), but the actual name of the file, which would have shown up on your anti-virus software. Highlight the file and press Delete...make sure to empty your Recycle Bin.
Yes it is a terrible virus that could corrupt your whole computer, it can take away all your personal info and then delete all your files with no return, finally it locks down your computer in a sleep state in which it will never work again

You can't, tell me the info and I will have it if you want
Disable your system restore, then reboot your comp, then after it boots back up, enable your system restore again. That will get rid of all of those stored files and settings in the System Volume Info folder..
