If you are using Windows XP or Vista you need to be in another Administrator account. Then to go Control Panel, Users, and click on the user you want to delete. If there is only one admin account on the computer, you cannot delete it. The procedure is different in Leopard (OS X) and Linux.

This is the problem, no one really knows. Unlike Windows or OS X, Linux doesn't really have you "register" or phone home to anyone, so no statistic on how many Linux users there are is accurate.
