Slavery was a evil thing that peole believed in because whites felt that blacks were inferior to them. Slavers were often treated cruely but sometimes were treated like family. Slavery is something that most Americans are ashamed of because we once believed in it. It is wrong and is a mistake that we should lear from our past.
