Fuel filters or just replaced at an interval determined by the manufacture of the vehicle. This varies from manufacturer to manufacturer but normally is around 50,000 miles. On some vehicles the fuel filter is a permanent filter mounted in the fuel tank. Your owners manual will tell you when to replace it or if it is a permanent filter.
