No, it is not a knock sensor at all. An AF (Air/Fuel Ratio) sensor is also know as a wide range oxygen sensor. It is the newer type oxygen sensor.

Check the back of your rear view mirror.
If you follow the exhaust pipe out from the back of the engine you will see a cable going to the oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipe. You will need a special type of socket to remove the oxygen sensor which you can buy at an auto parts store.

Your O2 sensors have detected too much oxygen in the exhaust, clean the MAF sensor, a dirty one is the most probable cause. If you are using an aftermarket ( oiled ) air filter too much oil will foul the sensor.
