You will find that the numeric keys will also work as text keys if you press them more than once (in relative short succession) you will see the character displayed by the key replaced by the other characters associated with the key (up to 4). The picture above shows you what I mean.

∙ 16y agogo to contacts on phone, select contact you want to text too, select options, select send message, select text, start typing by touching key pad with the letter you want to type. Example, if you want to type the letter b hit key pay 2 times because the letter b is the second letter on key pad. If you want to type a number 2 hit the same key pad 4 times because 2 is the fourth option on key pad for typing. This is the same for all letters and numbers. 2 for example is abc. Click once for A, twice for b. and thrice for c. You have to be in text mode to do this.
