Is your chime continuing after cranking vehicle and door is closed. If so, there is an electrical switch in the door that gets stuck. Use a spray lubricant inside the door latch to free switch.
Find and remove or disconnect the chime relay.
I have a 2002 Tahoe. With a flat blade screwdriver, I push the door catch down as if it was closed. When ready to close door , pull outside door handle and push catch up again.
if you disconnect it you will have a fault code stored in youy ecu and will cause problems like dome lamps staying on all the time..

Locate the door chime...Locate the 1 bolt that holds the door chime. Pull down the chime.Use a flat screwdriver to release the clip that holds the casing and the plug-in.Remove the plug-in .Now the door chime will not bother you anymore :)
It should be located under the dashboard. usually behind the center console (heater controls, stereo etc...) You should be able to just pull out the wire that is fitted into it. But be careful. The same chime is used to let you know if you've left your headlights on, or your keys in the ignition.

The door chime on a 2000 Ford F250 can be disabled by removing the fuse or pulling the wiring harness. The chime is automatically trigger each time the door is opened or is left open
