Disconnecting the battery is the easiest way. Then disconnect the airbag.
insert ignition key into passenger airbag slot on the front dash and turn to off
open passenger side fusebox, locate and disconnect yellow plastic fuse harness as well as airbag fuse
Disconect the electrical connecter on the seatbelt buckle under the seat. Don't disconnect the passenger seat one though as The passenger airbag (if fitted) won't deploy in an accident. The drivers airbag will always deploy.

Without written permission from the NHTSA is is illegal to disconnect the air bag on any vehicle.
Not sure...but i guess you could call the car dealership.
The gas tank leaks and sometimes the passenger airbag doesn't go out.
It is possible to get a disconnect switch from the dealer, but you have to show a need and pay for it.
Take off the steering wheel cover and unscrew all the screws then disconnect the wires.
