When a person misses a phone call on a cell phone, the phone will show all the missed calls. If a land line phone has caller ID, the missed calls will be shown on the caller ID box.
Call your phone company or go to their site and sign up.
There are no fees for blocking caller ID. All one has to do to block caller ID is push *67 prior to dialing the phone number you are calling. This will block ones number from appearing on either a cellphone or land line phone
local land line with caller i.d.
Look at the Caller ID display.
Are you looking to detect the location of a caller on a cell phone or a land line phone? If you have the area code or country code you could search that number for starters. Did you know that anyone can fake their caller ID number making it seem as if they are calling from anywhere they want? You should never rely on what the caller ID says for determining a callers location......for your own safety.
if the caller id has more than ten numbers
It should already show up. If it doesn't, there is a problem either with the phone company switch (sending incomplete data), or more likely with your caller ID device.
Some sites that you can use to do reverse phone lookups are AnyWho and Reverse Phone Lookup Guide. You can also try the cell phone lookup site My Reverse Cell Phone Lookup to look for numbers.
There are several websites that provide public records - most of these sites have a reverse phone lookup feature. You can use it to find out who owns any phone number - land line, cell and often even unlisted. Results can be obtained quickly, so when you do a reverse phone lookup you should get the information you need right away.
The easiest way is to call someone who has Caller ID (for example, call your own cellphone from the land line). There are also special numbers you can dial to have the telephone switch read back to you the phone number, but those numbers vary from place to place and phone company to phone company.
Go to any reverse phone search website and type in the number you are looking for. If you are looking up a land line, the report should be free. Cell phone lookup reports will incur a small fee because cell phone information is private and must be bought by the reverse phone search company.
