The simplest approach is to siphon the Transmission Fluid from the fill tube. There are several reasonably priced hand pumps on the market that will do the task. You will get about two quarts of fluid out of a warmed up transmission. Be sure to get the correct transmission fluid from a Kia or Hyundi dealer. Save the receipts for warranty purposes. There is a transmission drain plug under the transmission but its placement is difficult to reach as it is situated over a frame member. Also removing this plug will spill fluid all over you and the garage floor.
