The drain cock is at the bottom of the radiator above the splash shield. Either you will need to remove the shield or you will need a piece of 3/8" hose about 12 to 14 inches long to attach to the drain tube.
Be sure to have the vehicle on level ground when ever possible, then raise the front passenger side about 6 to 12 inch off the ground in order to reach the drain plug and the rest is history.
If the entire system (radiator, engine block and heater system) is empty it will take 11 to 12 qts to refill (this also depends on what engine you have and if it has ac or not). If you only drain the radiator, aprox 5 qts.
The following is for the 3.0L H6: Remove the "V" Belt. Drain the Radiator so that the coolant level is below the Upper Radiator Hose. Remove the Clamps, remove the Hose from the Radiator & rotate the Hose counterclockwise out of the way. Empty the Pump Reservoir. Remove the Pump Hose Fittings & disconnect the Electrical Plug. Remove the three 14 mm bolts holding the Pump Bracket & the 12 mm bolt holding the Generator. Remove Assembly & replace Pump. Installation is reverse. Refill the Pump Reservoir & the Radiator with the proper fluids & quantities.....

Look at the bottom or the rear of the radiator Its a red bolt that has a round head and a slot for a Phillips screwdriver. I found its best to remove the hard plastic under cover which covers the oil pan and transmission pan. Its held on by10mm hex head bolts at least 12 of them. Otherwise the coolant goes everywhere when you drain it.
Cooling SystemEnsure that the engine is completely cool prior to starting this service. 1. Remove the recovery tank or radiator cap. 2. Raise and support the vehicle. 3. Place a drain pan of sufficient capacity under the radiator and open the petcock (drain) on the radiator. è Plastic petcocks easily bind. Before opening a plastic radiator petcock, spray it with some penetrating lubricant. 4. Drain the cooling system completely. 5. Close the petcock. 6. Remove the drain pan. 7. Lower the vehicle. 8. Determine the capacity of the cooling system, then property refill the system with a 50/50 mixture of fresh coolant and distilled water. 9. Leave the recovery tank or radiator cap off to aid in bleeding the system. 10. Start the engine and allow it to idle until the thermostat opens (the upper radiator hose will become hot). The coolant level should go down, this is normal as the system bleeds the air pockets out of the system. 11. Refill the system with coolant to the proper level. 12. Turn the engine OFF and check for leaks.
