The radiator drain plug should be located on the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side. Open that, let the old coolant flow into a drain pan, replace the drain plug once the coolant is out and the radiator is flushed, then fill it up through the radiator cap.
Where is the drain for the coolant on the radiator of a 2002 Ford Explorer sport (v6). Thanks.
On the lower driver side of the radiator!
There are fourteen steps on how to replace the water pump in a 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport 2.4 liter 4 cylinder. Some of the step-by-step instructions are set the drain pan underneath the radiator's drain plug, drain the radiator, and then use a wrench to twist the radiator plug counterclockwise.
The oil drain valve on a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport is located near the rear of the oil pan. The radiator drain petcock is located at the bottom the radiator.
Look on bottom or rear of radiator
I couldm't find it on my mom's montero, what ever you do don't take off the big hose on the botom (IT's the transmission coolant)
Remove bottom hose
remove the radiator cap, place a bucket under the radiator, open the drain valve located on the bottom/ inside of the radiator, and wait till it stops running out, then close the valve and refill with 50/50 mix coolant and water. check your manual however because you may have extended life coolant that does not need changing up to 100,000 miles.
First open up the radiator, then there's a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. Fill with water and drain until clear. Fill it up and good to go.
A 2003 Jeep Liberty uses red, hoat, five year coolant.
Low coolant? Plugged or restricted radiator? Bad thermostat? System airbound? Water pump not circulating coolant? Defective radiator cap?
open your hood. take off your right side headlight bezel. remove headlight and park/turn signal light. your radiator pepcock will be in plain sight. remove your radiator cap and open your radiator pepcock to drain.
