To drain the radiator on a 1999 Ford Expedition, place a bucket under the radiator. Unscrew the radiator drain hose or valve on the bottom of the radiator. Remove the radiator cap.

The engine coolant drain plug, on a 1998 Ford expedition, is located on the bottom of the radiator. The drain plug will come out by turning to the left.
The bottom of the radiator is exposed and has a plastic nut that is loosened with a crescent wrench. Once that is loose, the coolant will drain from the center of that nut.
The radiator drain plug is on passenger side of the radiator tank at the bottom. You can use pliers to loosen it. Be careful that it does NOT come out, only loosen it enough to drain the anti freeze.
