Executables (even compiled by Game Maker) are not possible to edit in Game Maker. To edit it you would have to decompile or disassemble it, or use a hex editor. Game Maker can only edit files such as *.gmk, *.gm81 and older versions of the Game Maker files.
To download and edit a complete .exe gamemaker game is possible however is illegal. Abusers of tools to do this may be prosecuted by Mark Overmars (the creator of Game Maker) or by the owner of the game itself. This has happened before.
If you want people to be able to edit it upload the source code (*.gmk or *.gm81). If you want people to not edit your game or engine upload it as an executable (*.exe).
Save it as a .exe file. (To do that go to the file menu and click save as executable)
you can't.
Make sure the movie file is with the game executable (*.exe) in the same folder/directory.
Game Maker 7 is an application itself and should be opened in Windows. If it does not work then try adding '.exe' to the end of the file name.
install java, then it will work NOTE: The Game Maker Decompiler is ILLEGAL. You can only use it to decompile your own games if you lost the GMK, but still have the EXE.

GML is short for "Game Maker Language". It is Game Maker's built-in programming language and is used for rapid development of games within Game Maker. It is highly preferred over Game Maker's Drag-and-Drop system because it is easier to edit, has more functionality and because lines of code are not as bulky as the Drag-and-Drop interface.
