There is no way to edit wordings directly, but you can add wordings with the correct spelling or grammar.
If you are asking how to move wordings from tier to tier, after you have made a certain number of edits, you are able to move a wording from good tier to bad tier or vice versa by clicking on a link in the edit alternates page.
The alternates should not be edited. This ensures that if the question is asked again in the same way it will go directly to the primary question

You could set the page size to the largest possible and then go to the last page. Supervisors face the same thing. While there is a batch option for sending many questions to the bad spelling/grammar tier, there is no batch option for sending them to the good question tier.
What is the bad grammar tier?
The bad grammar tier, also known as second tier, is the lower level listing of question alternatives. There are a million ways to ask the same question. Ok, maybe not a million, but you get the idea. So, instead of having several of the same question floating around, the secondary questions are added as alternate wordings of the primary question - which will continue to redirect to the primary question as users ask the questions. There are two levels, 1st tier, and 2nd tier (bad grammar), of alternate wordings. First tier can only hold up to 200 different wordings, while the 2nd tier is infinite. Typically, you would want to place all the alternate wordings into the 2nd tier that have misspellings or bad grammar. This will leave room for the proper question alternatives to remain in 1st tier. Both tiers are searched when the user asks a question to see if their question already exists somewhere in the system, and will be redirected to that question if it does. To move alternates to the bad spelling (2nd) tier: # Select the boxes next to each of the misspelled or poorly worded questions. # Click on Move to Bad Spelling Tier.

Personally - I tend to edit the question and correct the spelling if I can. Most times, the question has already been asked (spelled correctly) and thus the edited one can be merged with it.
