* After you are finished with your project, add two chain stitches. Remove the hook and cut the last chain stitch. Pull the loose end tight, and you will have knotted the end so that your project will not fray apart. Most people choose to weave in the ends, too.

you bind off your stitches . to do this you knit the first two stitches then using your left needle pass the first stitch you just knitted over the second stitch you just knitted. you should now have one stitch again on right needle. knit the next stitch and pass over again .. keep knitting only one stitch at a time and passing over after each one knit till all are gone but one stitch .. when you have only one stitch left on the needle .. yarn over the needle and pull it thru the last stitch to close and end
I think you cut off the wool so there is still a little bit left, and thread the wool through the loops of the french knitting. Then pull it tight. Why not look on YouTube.

No, French knitting does not originate from France. It is also known as spool knitting or corking, and is a type of knitting where yarn is looped around pins on a spool to create cords or tubes. The name "French knitting" may be a misnomer that led some to believe it originated in France.

You may be thinking of French knitting, which is done on a spool with pegs driven into the top.
Whether you call them Knitting Nancys, Bizzy Lizzys, knitting mushrooms, knitting spools, corkers, peg knitters, knitting nobbys (or knitting noddys) or knitting knobbys, these knitting devices all owe their existence to the medieval lucet. The lucet is a two pronged fork with a hole in the handle.
You can make it into a belt, Christmas tree decor, present ribbon, and string.
To break yarn in knitting simply means to cut the yarn. This is usually done at the end of a pattern or when changing colours. When breaking off the yarn, it is important to leave a long enough end to secure the knitting and weave the ends in once you have finished knitting the item.
