How do you expand your house in harvest moon island of happiness?

If you collect enough wood, then go ask the old man (i forgot his name) and he will ask you if you are sure. Try that but if it doesn't work then im probably talking about the wrong game! hope that helps!

the best and probably fastest way to expand your shop in Animal Crossing is to have one of your friends over to your town and for them to buy something from your shop. Or you could wait. It'll expand eventually on its own.

In the town hall, go to your left and there should be a machine. Click on the machine and then click PAY MORGAGE When you pay it all go talk to Tom Nook and he will expand your house.

Pay off your mortgage that you owe. Then talk to the Tom and he'll ask you if you want a bigger house. But you have to go there right after you pay off your mortgage.

Go to where the chair and lamp is on the lower left corner click it and Click build room and on the rooms you will see blue things click it and expand your room

As soon as you pay off you're loan, you can expand your house. Simply go talk to Tom Nook and he will say something to the effect of "Tired of your house size?" Say yes and you can expand.
