In many forms of meditation you are actually aiming to not involve yourself in the experiences of meditation. Meaning you try to just watch rather than engage in what you are feeling.
Other meditation techniques are aimed at specifically creating particular psychological or physical sensations, in fact these 'feelings' are one of the ways you are able to judge your stage of development.
Any reliable meditation teacher should be able to give you guidance on what form of meditation delivers what kind of 'feeling'.
The best general advice I can think of is no matter what arises during your meditation try not to take seriously.
