I was looking at the 2000 Ford Windstar Owner Guide :
The drawings of the engine compartment show :
( when standing in front of the vehicle )
The 3.0 liter V6 engine has the oil filler cap on the RIGHT side of the valve cover
The 3.8 has the oil filler cap on the left side of the valve cover ( near the alternator )
