If you immediately get out of the car and grab the filler nozzle handle be sure to touch some metal somewhere to discharge the static electricity you got sliding off your seat when you got out BEFORE you open the cap.
After you SLOWLY take the cap off the filler neck, put the nozzle fully into the neck and start filling up. When you hear/feel the click of the nozzle shutting off, wait a few more seconds for the last of the petrol to run out, then slowly pull the nozzle out and turn the machine off. Never try to fill the tank up to the brim as the tank needs some expansion room when the petrol warms up, especially on a hot day. The filler neck is part of the room it needs. It could leak out the cap. Don't forget to put the cap back on the car before you go to pay or leave.
Be extremely careful if you haven't used a particular pump before as some filler nozzles may not have a working automatic handle shutoff. Always stand to the side and if the petrol starts gushing out of the filler neck just release the handle and stand back.
The tank will be full. ????????
It is necessary because if the engine is still on, it will use up the petrol you are filling up.
Chemical energy. The petrol / diesel that you fill up the tank with.
if you are talking about the fuel tank... you could drain it.... or just fill it with diesel and run it.... t hen fill it up again before you use half a tank
yes fill tank almost to top then add i gallon of petrol
The answer depends on the capacity of the fuel tank
Drain the tank, then fill up with the right fuel. Should be enough if you didn't drive it before discovering your mistake.
The petrol is pumped from the tank to feed the engine.
Check that the flap in the fill tube is closing properly. This problem can also appear if the tank has been replaced by an earlier or van/estate tank. Or if the fill tube has been replaced with the wrong type.
it depends on how far you are from the airport and what type of car you have. ask your self this, how far is the place from where i am and does my car use up petrel fast. i suggest that you fill up your tank.
I have a 318 coupe msport 2005. Im getting just under 400 miles to a tank. costs £80 to fill up. and the computer is saying 31.1 mpg! best car i have ever had!!
I do not understan your question. You cannot fill up an empty gas tank? Is that what you are saying?
