You will need to start out by pressuring checking the coolant system both when the car is warm and cold and then check for any leakage inside the vehicle or from the drain tube.............
The heater core is located in the center of the dash inside the heater unit. If you look under the dash on the passengers side you will see, from right to left, a blower, the AC box then the heater unit where the core is. Also, in the engine compartment you will find two coolant hoses that enter the firewall near the center, those hoses connect directly to the heater core.
You can find the heater core behind the kick plate in your 1993 Acura Legend. Remove the water hoses. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.

inside the passenger compartment behind the glove box. to find any heater core, open the cars hood and locate the 2 heater hoses. They will go through the firewall and they connect to the heater core.
If your asking about a heater core for a car. you pretty much have to pull the engine to get at it. as it is part of the system, it should get flushed out when you flush the system.
Heater core is on the passenger side behind the glove box, this is also the location of the air conditioner evaporator core.. they should be in the same housing.
