Where is the heater core located in a 1999 ford ranger 3.0?
inside the passenger compartment behind the glove box. to find any heater core, open the cars hood and locate the 2 heater hoses. They will go through the firewall and they connect to the heater core.
this may not be a project you want too tackle yourself. your heater core is located in the heater box which is located under the dash. to removeyou will need to drain antifreeze remove heater hoses(2) located on the firewall in the engine compartment.remove the dashboard to access the heater box.remove cover for heater core .replce and install everything in reverse order.this is a 4 or 5 hour job for a mechanic.

On my 1994 Ranger, the heater core is directly underneath the glove box. All you do is crawl underneath the glove box, losen 4 screws in plastic housing, and pull the housing off. Make sure to losen to hoses underneath the hood located on the firewall to drain the antifreeze. Once this is done pull out the heater core. Mine was fairly easy and took under an hour.
