On my '93 Ford Escort 1.9L, it is located under the dash, behind the heater control assembly.

The 1995 Ford Escort series of vehicles have a conventional heater core design and location. The heater hoses through the firewall are on the right-front (passenger) side of the vehicle.?æ
The heater core is located behind the dash inside the heater core box with two ports, an inlet and an outlet port protruding through the firewall into the engine compartment.
It is located directly behind the center of the dash. You have to remove the whole dash completely out of the car to gain access to the heater box and replace the core.

it is located behind the heater core on firewall inside car. have to take entire dash out in order to change it. poor design. if heater core leaks it usally drips right on ecm and burns it out.

On the rider side firewall in the engine compartment ?
inside the passenger compartment behind the glove box. to find any heater core, open the cars hood and locate the 2 heater hoses. They will go through the firewall and they connect to the heater core.
The front heater core is located behind the dash on the passengers side and heats up the front section and the rear heater core is located in the rear located behind the passengers side rear panel and it heats up the rear section..........
Disconnect heater core inlet and outlet hoses - couple them together
