Get 12 Volt test light $ 15. open hood access battery, put alligator clamp on one battery terminal, test light probe on other - there should be a very very dim light, unless you have a short. Be sure to have car doors closed & interior lights etc out when test. If light is BRIGHT then you have trouble. If so, start pulling fuses to isolate the system where the short is located & from there it is a treasure hunt!
