Stevens was in business from 1864-1950. They did not have a "pocket pistol" model, but DID make a "pocket rifle" model from 1869-1916. Am aware of no specific production data based on serial numbers.
The stevens Model 35 offhand shotgun(even though it is listed as a pistol) was made during the years 1923-1935 in .410 gauge.I do not have a model production breakdown by years with serial numbers though.Maybe savage/stevens might have more info at the savage arms web site?It would be worth a try.
Your Stevens model 30 was made from 1933-1934.
The Stevens model 944 was made from 1936-1942.
The stevens model 9478 shotgun was made between 1978-1985.
If the "U337" is stamped on the lower tang it is the serial and not the model number. There was a really large range of serials like this used on Favorites and Visible loaders.
What is the year of mfg. of FN pistol Model 1910, with serial number 583500
Model 686 (plus/seven shot). Covers several barrel lengths. Should be visible on the inside of the yoke.
The Stevens Model 70 with the serial number T775 was manufactured between the years of 1907 to 1931. There were only 100,000 of these rifles produced.
Your stevens model 9478 was made by savage/stevens between the years 1978-1985.
You can find the model and serial number by going to proofhouse.com.
These savage/stevens model 94c were made from 1929-1942.long before serial numbers were mandated by the gun control act of 1968.So there is a strong possability that your stevens does noy have a serial number.
what model ??????????
Check the receiver and barrel
Depends on model and when it was made. I have a Stevens 84-C that has no SN on it.
Your Stevens shotgun was produced from 1978-1985.
Which model? firstname.lastname@example.org
All my records indicate that stevens did not make a model 337 shotgun. If your stevens shotgun is marked U337 under the receiver, this would be a serial number, not a model number.
The year of the Colt 25 pistol with the serial number 255465 varies greatly depending on the actual model of the pistol. That serial number in the model 1908 might date back to the early 1900s. That number in later models can be from the 1950s.
With the serial number that you have provided, your Hi-Standard model E pistol was made by that firm in the year 1939.
It sounds to me that you have a Model 1908 hammerless model in .25cal.your serial number would indicate that this pistol was made in the year 1919.
They refer to this handgun as the browning model BDA (browning double action auto) pistol.
The stevens model 87T along with the model 87 had a long run.It was made from 1938-1983.Stevens did not keep records of the yearly production by serial numbers.
