Native American and US government relations is a work in progress though it is improving. More Indian Education programs are being established in the classrooms to improve cultural knowledge and awareness. Treaty negotiations are progressing involving the treaty changes that had occurred in the 1800's. As long as communication continues the relations will continue to improve.

Some thought that forming some type of alliance with the Confederacy would be a better deal then being loyal at all to Washington DC.
