In most democracies or similar the laws have to be published in a formal manner in order to let the citizenry have the option and ability to read the laws that they are subject to, in Australia this is called the gazette and is found in many libraries and public institutions.
In this spirit, alot of jurisdictions also have websites that catalog the current laws and regulations.

∙ 12y agoThere are many websites where you can find state laws. These laws are called statutes or codes. Unfortunately, many websites do not show the current version of a state's laws, nor do they tell you what version is being displayed. Each state Legislature meets once a year and makes amendments to its statutes, but a few states do not cumulate them.
The best place to look for a state's laws is at the website of the state's Legislature. If you search for "the state laws of X state," one of the results will usually be that state's Legislature. Often, both the House and Senate of a state's Legislature will have a version of the state laws. The Senate version is usually the best. Most will allow you to search the text of laws.
